Onions have that special way of bringing tears to one’s eyes. Has anyone thought to try these onion goggles?

This mountain of foamy milk was as delicious as it looks.
La Croissanterie Figaro is a place not to be missed on your next visit to Montreal. I paired my cappuccino with a fresh croissant and a bowl of delicious fruit. Yum!
Many thanks to Suparna for recommending this “lost corner of Paris”.
Beautys is quite simply the best diner I’ve been to in Montreal. The breakfast food is delicious, the service is friendly and the retro decor is hard to beat. While there we had a lovely chat with Hymie (the original owner) and learned that Beautys was actually Hymie’s bowling nickname. Sweetness!
My friend and I couldn’t narrow down our breakfast choices so in the end we decided to take the easy way out and ordered everything…pancakes, French toast, real maple syrup, bacon, sausage, eggs, bagel, coffee, tea, hash browns, & a bowl of fruit. Needless to say, our meal was glorious. A long walk there and back  made us feel a little less guilty about our morning indulgence.
Have any White Cabana readers been to Beautys? Has anyone tried the Beauty Smoothie?
The Beautys website is currently under construction but the restaurant is very easy to find. It’s located at 93 Avenue du Mont Royal Ouest at Rue Saint Urbain.
Many thanks to Suparna for this breakfast recommendation.

I’ve been doing so much baking lately – I really should invest in one of these one day soon.

Do you have one? What colour is it? How do you like it?

If you like coffee or tea, then I hope you’re going to enjoy today’s Friday Five. Caution…objects are hot! Gosh…do I have to quote Paris Hilton for that?

Today’s Friday Five is all about well-designed goodies!

This week’s Friday Five is egg-citing! Although pastel colours are taking over the stores at this time of year, there are still plenty of white items to get you in the spirit of Easter celebrations.Â

You can fool your friends with these ones. They’re dishwasher safe too!

Tuesday is as good a day as any to have a picnic. A well-designed picnic, that is.
