Since the big guy’s arrival is only a few days away, I thought it was appropriate to feature him today. There aren’t too many all-white Santa items on the market this year, but these these white-and-red Santas make for great gifts.
Gifts
Well, there aren’t too many places to shop in person this month, so I’ve put together a list of 10 Mother’s Day gift ideas that are easy to pick up from the grocery store. It’s the one place that I know forsure will be open (although I know there are plenty of curbside pickup spots and online shops, too)!
- Food. Pick up all the ingredients you need to spoil your mom with a great meal (perhaps one that you’ve perfected over the last year of lockdown).
- Flowers. Ideally, you’d buy flowers from a local florist, but if you can’t get to one, consider the flowers and plant options from the grocery store. An orchid is always a winning option, for example.
- Candy, chocolate, and ice cream. Choose her favourite flavours. Who can ever resist some sweets?
- Card. Don’t forget to send your mom a card!
- Coffee. Grab a few and bundle them together in a coffee-themed gift basket (reuse a basket you own or get creative with packaging).
- Magazines. My mom loves magazines, but she only has so many subscriptions, so it’s nice to treat her to magazines she doesn’t subscribe to every once in a while, too.
- Cake. Check out the baked goods in the bakery section of your grocery store. You could get a cake with a personalized message in icing on it.
- Spa products. Check out the beauty section of the grocery store. You might just find some nail polish, a loufah, or her favourite moisturizer. These days at-home spas are all the rage. 🙂
- Picnic ware. If a quick backyard visit is your only option, buy some paper plates and pick up a pizza to share.
- Cheese and charcuterie. Pick up all the delicious cheeses and charcuterie you mom would like, arrange it on a wood cutting board (which you can also pick up at many grocery stores), and gift her a delicious easy meal.
Reminder: Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 9th.
A few weeks ago, I wondered how much was too much to spend on chic candles? Now I’m curious to know what you think of these costly hand soaps. Do you spend the money? Why or why not?
I buy most of my hand soaps from HomeSense or Shoppers Drug Mart for under $10.
These candles are chic, but they’re also ridiculously costly. How much is too much to spend on a candle?
Last week, Daniela shared an amazing all-Canadian gift guide with us. She’s back this week with a collection of thoughtful gifts under $30 (Canadian).

Hi White Cabana readers! Today I’m bringing you a list of items that are under $30. These gifts are great for family, friends, colleagues, teachers, kids, and secret Santas!
As we enter the last few weeks of the holiday season, I hope this gift guide will help you to cross more gifts off your list.
I’m wishing you and yours all the best! Happy holidays and happy, healthy 2020!
Happy Shopping!

I know blogger gift guides can get overwhelming and repetitive, but I promise you that this gift guide that Daniela put together for us is inspiring! Truly! Daniela was guided by the theme of “shop local” so the list includes only items that are Canadian. There’s a gift for everyone on your list.

Hello White Cabana readers!
I hope you are enjoying the many celebrations that surround us during the holiday season. And of course that you’re taking some time to pause and reflect in front of a Christmas tree with a cup of warm cocoa.
I am taking a bit of a turn with my gift guides this year and wanted to challenge our Canadian readers to support local shops this year or at the very least to learn about some amazing Canadian companies.
Many of the companies I have featured here manufacture, design, and produce their items all in Canada (and, yes, a few do outsource some of the steps). You will see the return of some of my favorite brands and some new ones I have stumbled upon this past year. Happy holidays and happy shopping!
Quebec-based La Grande Gourmandise offers beautiful gift baskets most of which are curated products from Quebec or elsewhere in Canada. With the purchase of any of their gift boxes/baskets a portion is redirected to a fundraising initiative called Youth Fund for School Perseverance.
I am featuring La Grande Gourmandise’s Big Hug box mostly because I like the name, but all their baskets are beautiful, so any item will be perfect for your recipients! The company ships anywhere in Canada and the USA.
This next company carries everything from beds to wooden toys, teepees, baby and toddler toys and so much more. I stumbled upon Coco Village when I was looking for a low-to-the-floor bed when my first child was transitioning to a big girl bed. I love all of their designs and products, but my favorite bed is the teepee bed white top. If anyone has a child who is about to transition to a big kid bed, why not give it to him or her for Christmas? I highly recommend this one!
Have you ever thought of giving “labels” to someone for Christmas? Mabel’s Labels is a Canadian company that distributes labels. I know labels may be an unusual gift item, but if you have anyone on your list that goes to elementary school or daycare/nursery school or is active in sports/extra curricular activities, you can pick out some fun labels for them. Mabel’s Labels also has great personalized gifts, which are perfect for grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Although most of Roots‘s products are now manufactured outside of Canada their leather line is exclusively handcrafted in Toronto. The quality of their handbags, leather accessories weekenders, etc. is exceptional. New to their leather handbag collection is the Victoria tote, which is available in a number of colors.
Love Powered littles, femme, and teen box sets provide daily affirmations that keep you focused on positivity. These boxes are great gifts for anyone in your life. Parents can start the little affirmations as early as birth and keep them going throughout their children’s lives. A positive daily affirmation will create the right energy and the right attitude as you encounter life’s challenges.
I absolutely love Arc’teryx‘s Osanna coat in Morganite. It is a perfect everyday winter coat for our cold winters. Arc’teryx’s line is made in British Columbia, and so many products are worth your look. I have put a few of my favourite items below.
Canadian based Mytagalongs has amazing travel accessories and tons of other stuff mainly geared towards woman. I love this mini backpack and the chargeable ear buds case. This would make a great gift for the teen on your list
Smash Tess has expanded its romper collection to include even more styles and colour options. The rompers feel soft and silky going on, and you never want to take them off! With matching romper options for kids, you can twin with your mini me
Next up is another favorite brand of mine. It’s Vancouver-based Brunette the Label. The quality of this sweatshirt line is unbelievable, and I assure you will last for a long time. Have someone on your list who likes a more laid back New Year’s Eve? Then why not gift them this sweatshirt that has a little bling?
You could continue to support local businesses by purchasing this sweatshirt at Tiny Trendsetter (which offers delivery across Canada).
Rocky Mountain Barber has some great gift sets for men. Whether men are sporting the very trendy beard or just need an amazing Canadian product for everyday shaving, Rocky Mountain Barber has a perfect gift set for them.
Drake General Store is a great all around Canadian store where you are sure to find a gift at your ideal price point. Many products are made by Canadian artists. Here is a T-shirt great for a true patriot.
Lastly I am featuring Canadian jewellery company Birks that definitely has a number of perfect gift items for someone you love. This white gold heart necklace is so pretty!
Happy shopping!

You did it once again, Daniela! You introduced me to more Canadian brands like Mytagalongs, and you’ve reminded me of some of your favourites like Rocky Mountain Barber and Smash + Tess! Thank you for sharing this guide with us today!
Although the weather isn’t a great indication, we are nearing the end of the school year. When I was an elementary school teacher, I was definitely tired and done by the time June rolled around. I was itching to enjoy lazy days of summer and finally take a vacation. The work that teachers do is admirable. And I am happy to shine the spotlight on them today. Daniela’s gift guide is well-researched and perfectly varied. If you’re looking for a teacher’s gift, read on!
***
Hi everyone!
Many of us are trying to find that perfect gift for our children’s teachers this month. Since I struggle with what to buy my daughter’s preschool teachers, I took to the streets and asked a number of teachers both in elementary and high school environments about favourite gifts they have received. I have to tell you I was hoping for creative answers from them, but I got a whole lot of “I’d appreciate a gift card” responses.
The number one gift request by all of my teacher friends and acquaintances is a gift card. Most of them had these stores as their most coveted: LCBO (and, yes, they prefer a gift card to a bottle of wine), Starbucks, Dollarama, Indigo, and The Keg.
Because I really love buying and receiving tangible gifts, I pushed my teacher friends to give me some things they would like, and I have listed them below.
Consider a personalized item. People love having something with their initial or name on it. For this, I recommend Minted. Independent artists design all products purchased from Minted.
Ready to hang art or an inspirational message are great for their classrooms and have a personal touch.
Karisa Marley’s piece called “I can†would be fitting for a teacher who has truly inspired your child.
Does your child have a teacher who is always wearing a nice scarf either as a fashion statement or because they are cold? Add to their collection!
Nice pens are another great idea for teachers. After all, they do a lot of marking and writing! Having a nice pen to do that with is always welcome by teachers!
Read about why this pen is the best.
This fun set of pens not only write well, but they even have fun sayings on them!
Does the teacher in your life carry her ID and keys on a lanyard? If so, one of these products would make a great gift.
There was a big divide on teachers who absolutely hate getting a mug or insulated water bottle – and those that love this gift! Insulated bottles not only keep teachers’ water or cold drink cold, but they can also keep a tea or coffee hot for hours. If you’ve read my other gift guides, then you’ve seen this next brand already. I am once again recommending my favourite Canadian insulated water bottle company Green’s Your Colour.
Almost all the teachers I spoke with mentioned the best part of a gift is if it comes with a personal message in a card. These meaningful cards written by students is the best part of the gift, so make sure whatever you decide to do with regards to a teacher gift, write a thoughtful note in the card! It’s a must!
I hope I made your teacher gift shopping a little easier with this gift guide! In the end, you can never go wrong with a gift card!
Happy Shopping!

Thanks, Daniela! These are useful gifts for teachers, but they’re also great for friends and loved ones, too!
Father’s Day is around the corner (ahem…Sunday, June 16th), which is a nice reminder for us to get prepared. My own dad is pretty easy to shop for – a bottle of wine – something he likely wouldn’t buy for himself, preferably with the letter B on it somewhere (for his name). And if I can’t find such a unique bottle of wine, I just buy him something that I think he would like, and he seems pretty happy. If you’d like to spoil a dad in your life with more than a bottle of wine, read on! Daniela has yet another excellent gift guide for us all!

Dads are hard to buy for, so I hope this gift guide takes some of the stress off as you shop for the father in your life.
Whether dad is king of the grill or of the kitchen this awesome apron will be a sure hit. What makes this apron unique is it functions as a knife roll when folded. Also, by purchasing this Sorichetti apron, you are supporting a father daughter duo that designs and manufactures their products in Toronto, Canada! How cool is that? Read more about Sorichetti.
These sneakers are sleek, go with almost anything, and are made in Italy. And as we all know, the best shoes are made in Italy! Best dads deserve the best shoes
Next up…Why not engrave a sweet message or initials on these classic cuff links by Canadian company Birks ?Â
This unique vintage inspired watch is great for a watch enthusiast or the dad who could use a new classic watch.
Available at a registered Stihl dealer, this next gift is perfect for the dad who has a lot of trees on their property, or if you just want to make outdoor work easier for dad, then this gift is one to get! The Stihl backpack leaf blower is the best leaf blower on the market. I know my husband would love to receive one of these one day.
Is your dad a golf enthusiast? If so, I am sure he would appreciate one or both of these for Father’s Day.
First, keep dad safe from the sun and stylish with this hat
And then make sure he is at the top of his game with this wedge
Is the dad in your life a big yogi ? Then this mat is for him. It’s durable and made so well that it will likely last a lifetime.
Practical dads who always pack their lunch will think of you everyday when using this useful gift. This is an insulated lunch bag that’s easy to use and hand washable from one of my favourite Canadian companies – So Young.
And with that, I have reached the end of my gift guide. I hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day!
Happy Shopping!

Don’t you think Daniela has a talent for gift giving? Her gift guides are so well curated, and I’m thankful she spends time creating them for us all! I see, too, that she’s included some of her favourite Canadian brands like The Well.ca, So Young, and Birks. This guide has sparked a few ideas for my own shopping…maybe I should expand on my traditional wine gift for my dad this Father’s Day!
I’m thrilled to welcome back Daniela to White Cabana. She’s prepared a fantastic gift guide with moms in mind, but as she told me, they’d be great for many people (I couldn’t agree more!). Mother’s Day in Canada is on Sunday, May 12th, if you needed a gentle reminder.

Hi Everyone!Â
My favourite holiday (a tie with Christmas) is right around the corner, and I’m back with a gift guide full of ideas for that special mom in your life.
Is there a mom in your life that is stuck in the T-shirt and leggings style and wants out of the style, but the thought of putting on a pair of jeans is terrifying to her? Well I have a solution—one that got me out of my leggings—Mother jeans! These jeans are not only extremely flattering but are so incredibly comfortable that I never want to take them off. Give the woman in your life a wardrobe pick me up by adding a pair of these to her closet. Trust me she will love them!Â
Have someone in your life that likes to read and wants to read about a woman that empowers and is relatable? If so, then I recommend picking up this easy read.
If you want to give something more funny, then pick up the latest book by my go-to author Sophie Kinsella.
Since becoming a mom of two, I rediscovered the knapsack! This is something that I had not worn since my university days. I actually don’t know how people don’t have a knapsack once they have one, two, or more children. I feel like I will need a knapsack full of things for my children for at least the next decade! Here, I’m including both a diaper bag knapsack (which I own) and a non diaper bag option if the mom in your life is past the baby and toddler stage. I’m sure the owner of a new, gifted knapsack will thank you a million times over!
It wouldn’t be a gift guide by moi if it didn’t have an element of coffee in it! This next item is on my wish list, so I hope it will be my next upgraded coffee maker for home brewing. This coffee maker brews an incredible cup of coffee. If you don’t believe me, stop in at a Williams-Sonoma as you may just find salespeople brewing coffee from it. Technivorm is handmade in the Netherlands and each coffee maker is individually tested. Learn more here. My wish is for the glass one linked below as I love my coffee from a glass carafe; however, the insulated option is great if you want to brew and take your pot of coffee to work with you.
Have a mom who is “fancy†but who also loves comfort? These sneakers are absolutely stunning (yes I used the word stunning to describe sneakers), and they may just fit in very well in your mom’s wardrobe.
I have always been a big Gucci fan, and I think these sneakers offer a casual yet still luxurious option for someone who is not into the bling as seen in the ones above.Â
Finally if you have a mom who is all about giving back and supporting causes, Birks has just released this “bee chic for a cause” bracelet. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Nature Conservancy of Canada.Â
Happy shopping! Happy Mother’s Day!

I think Daniela was right in saying that these items would be great gifts to spoil many ladies in your lives! I think the Birks bracelet is my favourite thing on today’s list. It’s pretty! Thanks for sharing your ideas and time with us, Daniela.
If you’re looking for more gift ideas, check out these White Cabana gift guides.
I love hearts – and not just for Valentine’s Day – so don’t mind me as I overload today’s post with sweet hearts.
Daniela’s back today with her fourth gift guide for the holidays (see her previous guides for the host/hostess, for men, for women). Today she’s sharing some ideas for the little(r) ones in your lives. It’s a long post, so get comfy!

This year I am taking a slightly different approach with my children’s guide. Rather than focusing on one age group, I’ve included all age groups and found many gifts that could overlap ages and stages. The ideas I share below are mostly in an age-related order, but they definitely could suit multiple ages. Happy shopping!

Who doesn’t love a gift that gives back? You may recall I featured Cuddle & Kind in my October #whitecabanawearspink gift guide, and I’m back featuring the company again because it is really making a difference. For every hand made doll purchased, Cuddle & Kind donates 10 meals through various humanitarian organizations (learn more here). I love the beautiful prints that can be purchased with the dolls, too. Not only do they have inspirational messages, but they make wonderful artwork for a child’s bedroom. I don’t think there is an age limit to this gift, but it is likely best for toddler to tweens!
Stella the Polar Bear, $65+CAD

Based out of Germany, Grimm‘s wooden toys are not only absolutely beautiful, but they are non toxic and made of wood. I wish I could buy the whole Grimm collection! For now, I’ll leave you with a few of my favorites. The building toys can make beautiful formations and are great for all ages because children can create more complex things as they grow.
Grimm’s Elements Building Storage, $99CAD

Daniela, you’ve done it again! You’ve curated a crazy cool collection of gift ideas for kids of all ages.
Have you been liking Daniela’s gift guides this year (for the host, for men)? She has a couple more to share, and I’ve had a sneak peek. Good things are on the way! Today she’s bringing us goodies for women, so you can get more things checked of your Christmas shopping list (or wish list).
***
Hi everyone. I’m back with a gift guide for that lady in your life – your friend, coworker, mom, or wife. This list has something for everyone! As usual, I’ve included items at a variety of price points. Many of these items fit nicely in the “what to buy 20-somethings” category, so if you are looking for a gift for your older daughter or niece, you’ll likely find a great item here. Happy shopping!
Not only does this VitaJuwel water bottle raise some attention, it has healing benefits due to crystals that are contained in a clear glass vial. There are a few types of crystals, but I like this one best as it is a blend of amethyst, rose quartz, and clear quartz. These are known for their mind-easing benefits. Let the water sit for seven minutes before drinking. If you’re not into crystals, you can still buy it because it’s a really really nice looking water bottle.
VitaJuwel 5 elements gem water bottle, $98USD (also available at Anthropologie)
Brunette The Label is a company based out of Vancouver whose mission is to empower women to empower one another. The classic “brunette” and “blonde” sweatshirts are awesome, and if you know a mom who has a daughter, the brand carries matching sweatshirts in the kids’ collection. Who doesn’t love a mom and daughter in matching outfits?!
Brunette crew sweatshirt, $79CAD
Want to add a little bling to your go to sweatshirt? Their holiday collection comes in gold foil.
Blonde crew gold foil sweatshirt, $88CAD
Do you know someone who wants easy, quick, and effortless make-up because they just don’t have time for more? If so, then this “stick” is the perfect gift. It comes in a variety of shades; however, I am featuring the “nude” here as I think it is a good basic for every day. The Bite Beauty Multistick will apply like a cream and wear like a powder finish. The best part is that it can be applied to the lips, cheeks, and eyes,, making it easy to carry with you wherever you go.
Bite Beauty Multistick, $24USD, (also available at Sephora for $28CAD)
This next item on today’s gift guide is great for a person who loves bracelets (and especially “stacking” them!), and it also has healing powers. Handmade in the GTA and available at local markets across the GTA and online at Urth Elements Canada, these reiki-infused healing pieces promote healing, restoration, and uplift. In today’s hectic, fast-paced life, we sometimes need a little help to breathe and slow down to a calm state, so we don’t get overwhelmed. I think these are great gifts for the CEO – of a firm or of a household – in your life. These bracelets also make great gifts for teachers or university students who need to restore calmness in their lives.
natural gemstone bracelet, $25CAD, Urth Elements
see more of Urth Elements (including some great ideas for stacking) on Instagram
Okay. It wouldn’t be a gift guide if I didn’t include my second favorite beverage-COFFEE! (Water is my first favourite beverage.) Finding a good coffee bean is important to me. It is the fuel for my day, and I love the taste of a well-brewed coffee. Since I have been finding it hard to get to my favorite coffee place after having baby number two, my husband and I started buying Barocco coffee as it is closer to home. After trying a few of Barocco’s blends, my go to is the Alto. Barocco coffee is available at a few retailers and online. It’s great to have this option to feed my coffee addiction, and I definitely think it is an awesome gift for any coffee lover.
Alto espresso, $32CAD, Barocco
Iconic, Canadian jeweler Birks has received more attention ever since the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been seen wearing some of the brand’s pieces. Birks has forever carried timeless, beautiful pieces, and it’s a Canadian company. This Christmas, for those of you wanting to gift your favourite lady a “little blue box,” opt to gift them a beautiful blue box from Birks…and make sure to pick out something beautiful to go into it! Here are a few of my suggestions.
freshwater baroque pearl and silver pendant, $350CAD, Birks
horizontal diamond bar necklace, $995CAD, Birks
My final suggestion is this beautiful organic Coyuchi robe that is perfection in my opinion. You may be interested to know that Coyuchi donates 1% of every purchase to help combat climate change. The company produces all of their organic natural products using minimal processing.
solstice robe, $73.50 (on sale), Coyuchi
Hope this gift guide helps you to find the perfect gifts for the ladies in your life.

If you haven’t already gathered, Daniela is an expert shopper! She’s always on the lookout for cool brands and products that make our lives better – health-wise and luxury-wise. I love that Daniela included Birks in today’s gift guide. Long before Birks became a Duchess fave, I remember going to Birks Sherway Gardens (in Toronto) with my mom when I was so very little. At the time, I found it annoying to look-at-but-don’t-touch cases of jewelry. Now, though, I definitely appreciate a beautiful jewel or two!
Today’s gift guide is for the men in your lives. Daniela has brought us some great items, many of which are from Canadian companies, which we love to support!
***
It’s that time of year again, and I’m here to help you (hopefully) with some gift ideas for the men in your life. You will see a heavy focus on Canadian brands below.
18waits is a Canadian company that you can find across Canada, the USA, and even Mexico; however, if you find yourself in Toronto, then I advise you to shop at the flagship store on Queen St. West. The clothing is well made and manufactured in Canada and the USA. Here are my top picks from 18waits.
whiskey tee, $90 CAD
eagle’s bone necklace, $250 CAD
Rocky Mountain Barber Company is a Canadian company that focuses on men’s hair, meaning their beards, mustaches, and the hair on their heads. Rock Mountain’s famous products are made of only the finest ingredients, and their small batch production ensures this quality remains high. And, when you check out, you will be given a choice of free samples. Who doesn’t love a freebie? Can you say free stocking stuffer? Here are my top picks from Rocky Mountain Barber Company.
Sandalwood shaving survival kit, $53.99CAD
Sandalwood hair comb, $22.99CAD
And of course a comb for the man in your life with a beard.
Sandalwood beard comb, $19.99CAD
Vancouver based brand Herschel Supply Co. is recognized globally as a high-quality brand with collections at great price points.
I am a fan of this specific wallet because I love the money clip feature, and it is thin, which is great for those men who don’t like carrying around a bulky wallet. This makes a great adult or teen gift. It also comes in many colours!
Raven wallet, $29.99CAD
An Autonomous office chair is a perfect gift for the man who works from a home office. Started in 2014 through Kickstarter, Autonomous has now grown and currently has 10 locations around the world. The Italian and Korean designed ergonomic chair ensures comfort while you work hard all day.
Autonomous Ergochair 2, $499CAD
My last item is a charging station for the person who has a lot of gadgets. With this gift, they can easily and conveniently charge all of them, all in one place. I love this specific charging station as it works with multiple phones and tablets.
charging station, $24.59CAD
Happy shopping!
Who has started holiday shopping? Who has finished? I have plenty still to buy, so Daniela‘s holiday gift guides could not have come at a better time! She always finds the most interesting things from great brands. Today she’s kicking off the 2018 White Cabana Gift Guide Series with a guide for the hosts.
***
It’s that time of year when many calendars are full of holiday drop-ins, dinners, and celebrations. Today I am sharing some gift ideas for the host and hostess, but I think think could also do well as stocking stuffers for an adult. These gifts for the host and hostess allow you to go beyond the norm of flowers and dessert. Happy shopping!
These white coasters are great because they suit any decor and are a perfect price point. Cocktail Emporium is an awesome store to check out if you are in the Toronto area. They have locations on Queen St. and in Kensington Market, and they really do have anything you can think of that is cocktail related.
angle dipped coasters, $20 CAD
If you’re heading to dinner at a foodie’s house, I suggest this Himalayan salt grater. It is sure to please your hosts.

I’m a sucker for a beautiful snow globe and Chapters Indigo always has an awesome selection this time of year.

Thanks, Daniela. You’ve started us off well with this holiday gift guide. I know you have a lot more to share with White Cabana readers this holiday season!
See Daniela’s gift guides from years past for more ideas.
You’ve probably come to know Daniela, one of my contributors, for her thoughtful gift guides. Today, she’s caught the #WhiteCabanaWearsPink spirit and she’s curated a collection of great gift items for kids

Hi White Cabana readers!
It is an honour to write this post as #WhiteCabanaWearsPink for breast cancer awareness this month. I never thought I’d be the mom who loves pink, but then I had two daughters, and, to be honest, the dainty perfection of my girls in pink has made me gravitate to soft pink clothing when I shop for them.
Today I bring you some of my favourite pink items that are perfect gifts for any little ones in your lives.
Cuddle and Kind is a company that all about giving back! Each doll purchased feeds 10 children in need. The dolls are so well made and stand the test of my toddler dragging hers around everywhere. There are many dolls to choose from and for an additional fee the company provides a corresponding photo with an inspirational message.Charlotte the Dog featured here is adorable and soft pink. It’s the perfect thoughtful gift for a child in your life.
Charlotte the Dog, $60+ USD, Cuddle and Kind
Next up are Mini Moc’s moccasins. Not only are these shoes well made (in Canada!) and stylish, the are, most importantly, are hard for kids to kick off! No more missing shoes! These soft pink mocs are subtle in color and go with so many wardrobe options.
moccasins, $45 CAD, Mini Moc
Le Méchant Loup is a Montreal-based boutique that sources beautiful toys, accessories, and clothing for children and babies. I especially love the messaging of this organic cotton sweatshirt by UK brand Organic Zoo.
sweatshirt, $49 CAD, Le Méchant Loup
Posh Peanut is a brand out of LA by a hair stylist turned mompreneur. Posh Peanut’s loungewear feels like butter, and the company has great mommy-and-me matching loungewear and robes. Many of the items sell out quickly, and pre-ordering is always recommended. How adorable is this pink ensemble? It’s made with soft Bamboo viscose.
floral loungewear, $28.95 USD, Posh Peanut
Finally, I love the adorable collar on this perfect cotton dress from one of my favourite children’s clothing brands – Jacadi. Jacadi designs all of its clothes out of its Paris headquarters.
cotton fleece dress, $59 USD, Jacadi
Hope you enjoyed today’s #WhiteCabanaWearsPink for breast cancer awareness.

If you’re anything like me, then you read Daniela’s gift guide and thought to yourself: “But where does she find these amazing brands?” I’m thrilled with this gift guide, and I’m going to keep it handy for future baby gifts that I will need to buy for friends and family!
For those of you who are still getting to know Daniela, you should know that she’s an incredible fundraiser. She’s a two-time cancer survivor (Hodgkin’s lymphoma and thyroid), and she has raised thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. She is a true #WonderWoman! I know Daniela is passionate about fundraising for cancer research, and I’m glad she was able to contribute to #WhiteCabanaWearsPink this year!
Thanks, Daniela! Let’s #conquercancer together!
I know. I know. It’s only early August, and I’m talking about back to school. This does not meant that the summer is nearing an end. It just means that we’ve got back to school shopping on the brain! As per usual, I’m happy to welcome Daniela back to the blog. She’s a whiz at gift guides, and her Back to School Gift Guide certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Whether you’re sending your children off to nursery school or Montessori or they are heading back to grade school this September, this list of must-have back to school items will ensure your child is well prepared for the year ahead.
First up is an item from the proudly Canadian Green’s Your Colour. I have owned a Green’s Your Colour bottle for a few years (and even featured it in this holiday gift guide). I use it daily for cold beverages in the summer and hot infused teas in the winter. This food grade bottle has the capacity to store many food and beverage items. Buying your child one for their upcoming school year will ensure they have a superior water bottle that can easily store a hot lunch or snack without leaving any flavour residue after it has been washed. I can attest to its durability and quality as mine is now three years old, and it still looks and functions like it’s new.
Dino Stomper, $35 CAD, Green’s Your Colour
Next up is an item from another Canadian company – So Young. The company’s owner, Catherine, is not only passionate about what she does, but she has overcome so much in her life. Read her inspirational story. So Young’s line of products is not only well-made and well-priced, but it has the cutest selection of bags for you, your toddler, or your child. Here’s the child-sized backpack, but note that many backpacks come in a toddler version as well.
backpack, $55 CAD, So Young
And don’t forget to add a So Young lunch bag and ice pack while you are at it!
unicorn lunch box, $35 CAD, So Young
ice pack, $13 CAD, So Young
Next up is this great lunchbox that ensures you can pack your child a variety of food items while keeping everything separate in an all-in-one container. The company – PlanetBox – has three options, but the Shuttle or Rover are recommended for children.
Shuttle lunch box, $39.95 USD, PlanetBox
Rover lunch box, $55.95 USD, PlanetBox
Tiny Trendsetter is a Toronto-based store that offers shipping across Canada and the United States. The store has you covered with the trendiest styles for your little ones. Tiny Trendsetter carries many mainstream labels we all love, but what I love most is their focus on smaller independent labels.
A must-have for fall and winter are these super comfy feels-like-joggers-but-looks-like-jeans. The Beau Hudson “jegs†are not only super stylish, but they are also super easy for your child to put on and off themselves, making for easier mornings (and easier washroom breaks at school, too!).
Beau Hudson Jegs, $59.99 CAD, Tiny Trendsetter
This packable, 100% waterproof jacket should be a staple in your child’s backpack. It is good for wind and rain ensuring your child is always ready for weather changes.
Packable jacket, $54.99 CAD, Tiny Trendsetter
A staple for my own child’s wardrobe is this zip-up hoodie from Toronto’s Mini Mioche. I have replaced my daughter’s hoodie every time she outgrows it as it’s light enough for her to wear all seasons, and she is always cozy. Those early fall mornings will call for an extra layer, and this hoodie, which comes in many colours, is the perfect wardrobe staple for back to school. What’s even better is that it is designed and made right in Toronto.
hoodie, $48 CAD, Mini Mioche
Hope you enjoyed my back to school gift guide! Until next time, happy shopping!

Thanks for this gift guide, Daniela! Of course I, too, enjoy a nice water bottle, since I’m never without one, and the little packable rain jacket reminds me of my old K-Way jacket!
What’s Canada Day without a BBQ? For many Canadians, wearing red and white and having a BBQ with friends and family is the best way to celebrate Canada’s birthday. If you’re heading out to a friend’s place, you may be interested in reviewing Daniela‘s gift guide today. She’s curated a great selection of gifts – at various price points as per usual – for this weekend’s BBQ or any other summer event you’re attending.
***
With our first long weekend upon us and children out of school, invites for summer BBQs will be pouring in. For your next invite, I’ve put together a list of some fun gifts to bring to the host.
Dish towels! Or as Williams Sonoma calls them – flour sack towels. Sure, you can get these at a lot of retailers, but I especially love the Williams Sonoma towels as they are extremely large and can withstand the test of time and lots of washes.
flour sack towels, $19.16 USD (on sale), Williams Sonoma
If you are invited to a bbq where the host has children, add this super fun stencil set (or another craft) for their little ones. It will make for a great summer activity on a rainy day, and the parents will love them too!
tea towel stencil kit, $26 USD, Yellow Owl Workshop
Going to a pool party? For the past few summers, I have brought the host one of these pool toys. They are the perfect gift for all ages and make for a great prop in photos. I personally love using these so my hair doesn’t get wet. 🙂
swan floatie, $9.99 (on sale), The Bay
unicorn floatie, $9.99 (on sale), The Bay
Did you know you can use your BBQ for a lot more than grilling hamburgers and veggies? Why not make pizza (my food of choice) on your grill? I love this as a hostess gift especially for someone who uses their BBQ all summer long.
grill stone, $48.49 CAD, The Well
Summer BBQ invites are all about fun in a casual dining atmosphere, so this next hostess gift idea is more a gift for all in attendance. Fill this piñata up with candy and bring it as an addition to the “dessert table.†It will prove tons of fun for all ages.
mini unicorn piñata, $5.60 (on sale), Chapters Indigo
And on the subject of candy grab a bag of these delicious squish candies for the host to enjoy the day after the party.
thank you mix candies, $14 CAD, Squish Candies
Finally, who doesn’t love an ice cream in the summer? Spoil the host with this great set, so they can enjoy their summer ice cream in style.
Kate Spade ice cream set, $46 CAD, Chapters Indigo
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy all your summer gatherings with friends and family!

How lucky are we that Daniela is such a great gift giver? Each guide seems better than the last! I absolutely love the idea of a piñata…what a fun thing for adults and kids!
With Father’s Day right around the corner (this Sunday), Daniela is back with an awesome gift guide.
***
Hey everyone I’m back with a Father’s Day gift guide that is sure to impress the father or father figure in your life. I’ve included gifts at a variety of price points, and I hope you find something special for the dad in your life.
If you haven’t read the story behind the company The Ridge, you should. It started as a Kickstarter project by a college kid and his dad (see The Ridge Story). The original wallet comes in aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber. Here, though, I am featuring the aluminum version. This wallet is perfect for the person who wants a simple, lightweight option for the cards and money he carries. You can choose a money clip or cash strap option. In addition, the wallet holds up to 12 cards and has a lifetime warranty.
Aluminum – Raw, $65 USD, The Ridge
Next up is this versatile, casual woven cotton belt that can easily be worn on dress down Friday’s at the office or a night on the town.
woven belt, $92 CAD, Nordstrom
Lamy pens are timeless and have been around since the 1960’s. The Lamy 2000 is German designed and manufactured. If the dad in your life does any writing day to day, this is a perfect gift for him. Add a personalized journal (complete with a photo, perhaps) to go with his pen.
super dad notebook, Minted
I love David Yurman and his jewelry designs. I am lucky to have a number of special pieces courtesy of my husband and daughters. My picks for a great Father’s Day gift from David Yurman are two bracelets – the classic spiritual beads in riverstone and the sleek white hex cuff bracelet.
Why not give the golfer in your life the best golf balls on earth? These are used by Jordan Spieth as well as many other top golfers. Even if these balls don’t help dad with his golf game, he will definitely be proud to show them off on the golf course.
A classic gift for dad is an everyday watch. I have a couple of brand options at two price points. Tissot is a well known household watch name made by Swatch. The Tissot Quickster Chronograph T-sport is a great casual watch.
Tissot Quickster Chronograph T-sport, $495 CAD, The Bay
The Farer Stanhope is a modern timepiece that can be dressed up and down easily for a formal event or a casual day out. This is an automatic watch designed by the British and made by the Swiss. Farer is a newer watch company designing quality automatic watches.
Stanhope, $1175 USD, Farer
Next up – the bbq enthusiast. I love this “bbq” apron. It’s awesome for the “king of the grill” in your life. This leather apron comes with deep pockets great for all the bbq utensils.
leather apron, $50.84, The Well
Happy shopping, and Happy Father’s Day!

Thanks, Daniela! You’ve shared a lot of wonderful gift ideas with us today.
I’m thrilled to welcome back Daniela to White Cabana today. You may remember her amazing gift guides from the holidays. She’s a very thoughtful gift giver, and we are all eager to meet her second little one this May. I’m grateful that she has taken time to share this impressive list of gift ideas for Mother’s Day with all of us. Take it away, Daniela!
***
Hey Everyone, I am back with Mother’s Day gift ideas. As I anxiously await my second child arriving early May, I have definitely catered to the “new moms” you may be buying for in your life, although I have to say I think many moms would love the items on this list.
First up is this looks-like-butter romper. It’s from a Canadian company – Smash + Tess – that definitely knows what days are like with children. The variety of rompers not only exude comfort but also ease. They’re great for when you need to relax but also feel put together at home. They’re also great for when you need to run a few errands or are worried someone may come to the door after a sleepless night.
Smash + Tess’s The Sunday Romper looks like it would be the perfect every day outfit for a new mom – or any mom. It’s a Sunday Funday and what better way to celebrate than being comfortably chic? Oh… and maybe another round of mimosas. You know what they say: “a Sunday well spent brings a week of content.†Mission accomplished with this romper. In a Midnight Black rayon from bamboo and cotton blend, this romper needs no zipper, no buttons…it’s that fabulous! It’s spacious, stylish, and fits in all the right places. Looking for a new staple item? Look no further.
The Sunday Romper, $119 CAD, Smash + Tess
As you may recall from my holiday gift guides, I am definitely a coffee lover. I also find that I need the right mug each morning to go with my “mood”. Here are a few mugs that I’d definitely love to add to my collection.
Super Mom mug, $21.99 CAD, Amazon
#MomLife mug, $12 CAD, Chapters Indigo
On a note about beauty, I recently discovered Maison Apothecare, and I’m hooked! This is a Canadian company with both online ordering options as well as stores in Toronto, Niagara, Guelph, and Oakville. The company has skin care lines and cleaning lines all made from 100% pure plant derived extracts. As a mom, I think it’s important to really take care of yourself, and these products really are about taking care! They’re void of harsh chemical components, and they are sure to compliment the mom in your life’s beauty regimen or lack there of (moms don’t always have time). Here are some of my picks from their lines for the special mom in your life.
Facial Charcoal Brush, $15 CAD, Maison Apothecare
Facial Gift Set, $140 CAD, Maison Apothecare
Lavender & Sea Salt Soap, $8 CAD, Maison Apothecare
Exfoliating Soap Bag, $5 CAD, Maison Apothecare
Now onto the luxury gift in my shopping guide! When a mom finally gets to put her head down after a long day, what better way then to sink into the most luxurious comfortable sheets? That is where Soma Organic Mattresses comes in. Their full collection of St. Geneve bedding is lovely. For this post, I am featuring my wish list sheets – the Nico Organic Cotton sheet set. I have never felt anything like them and definitely know they would be an incredible investment (or gift) to a better luxurious night’s sleep! If you are in the Toronto area, the sales team at Soma is well-versed on everything “bedding,” and their service is top notch.
St. Geneve Nico Organic Sheet Set, $302 CAD, Soma
Finally, for the mom on the go with toddlers or school age children, this bag not only keeps mom fashionable but is also great to keep mom’s hands free while on the go this spring and summer. I wouldn’t suggest this for a diaper bag, but it is a great bag to carry everything you need for a day out with children while ensuring your comfort, too.
Rebecca Minkoff backpack, $276.50 CAD, Saks Fifth Avenue
***
Yes. As predicted, Daniela spoiled us with a wonderful selection of gifts. I have had my eye on St. Geneve linens for quite some time! They are indeed luxurious! Thanks, Daniela!
I love stylish toys like these Blockitecture block that are great for kids…or adults!
Blockitecture Tower, $45 USD, Areaware
Check out this mug:
Surely it put a smile on your face! I want it. (But I also want it to be grammatically correct before I buy it. It should be: I’m going to stand outside. If anyone asks, I’m outstanding.)
I always love floating around the Mark & Graham website. The product lines are so classic.
Pretty, right? There are so many lovely things (that can be personalized) for yourself or loved ones!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I’m so grateful that Daniela has taken time out of her very busy schedule to share four amazing gift guides on White Cabana. Her earlier guides, in case you missed them, focused on babies and toddlers, tweens and teens, her and him. In this last guide, she’s sharing more original ideas for the host. Or, as she told me, thoughtful “just because” gifts. And, yup, that’s Daniela…always thinking of others!

This list is made up of affordable (under $30, with the exception of one!) items that cater to all types of people, but it is especially geared towards those drop-in visits and dinner parties we attend more frequently this holiday season.
Candles. Who doesn’t love a nice smelling candle? This one comes wrapped so nicely, so it’s ready for gift giving!

Ornaments are great for those of us who celebrate the holidays with a tree. An ornament is a thoughtful gift your recipients will remember you by year after year. These ones are monogrammed with an initial and can be given by first or last name.
monogram ornament, $6 CAD (on sale), Chapters Indigo
The pineapple trend is still hot, and people are incorporating pineapples in home décor and accent pieces. This pineapple jar can be used for anything “dry,” or it can be left out empty. In addition to it being a trendy item, pineapples signify warmth, friendship, and hospitality. These are all the things you receive when going to visit friends and family over the holidays.
pineapple storage jar, $22.49 CAD (on sale), Well
The store Saje started off with only a few locations, but now you can find many all around. It has the best essential oils and aromatherapy items for home and body healing. No doubt this store will continue to grow and thrive as people are increasingly pursuing personal wellness. This great housewarming gift is priced just under $30.
electric ceramic diffuser, $29.95 CAD, Saje
Know anyone who loves stationery? Eighty Seventh St. is a Canadian company founded by Monica Smiley. Be sure to follow her on Instagram for great illustrations that are sure to bring a smile to your face. These items found online are sure to please the stationery-lover in your life.

all occasion boxed notecards, $20 CAD, Eighty Seventh St.

L’Occitane En Provence is sure to please anyone on your list. Below are two well-priced hostess/host gifts. I am a big fan of the hand cream and lip balm. They’re packaged beautifully in true “French” fashion.
shea butter holiday bauble, $14 CAD, L’Occitane
shea hugs and kisses, $20 CAD, L’Occitane
Who doesn’t love a magazine subscription? The gift of reading is perfect every time. Start someone’s year off right with a subscription to Style at Home, since it is priced perfectly, and it’s gift that will have your friends thinking of you each month.
Style at Home year subscription, $23.95 CAD for print, $19.95 for digital
As a true coffee lover, I can’t start my day without two cups. I have to draw attention to my favorite coffee – Dineen Coffee Company. We drive here monthly to pick up a few bags of their beans which we grind at home each morning. When I say “we,” I really mean my husband. There is really nothing like a good quality cup of coffee. If you happen to be in the Toronto area, trust me, buying someone a nice bag of Dineen’s temperance roast will not disappoint. It truly is my favorite cup of coffee.
I know that many people won’t be able to make it down to Toronto, so on the subject of coffee, if you have a coffee lover on your host/hostess list, this coffee maker is not only one of a kind, but it makes an incredible cup of coffee. It is on the higher end of my price point for a hostess gift. However, if you know someone who really loves coffee, they will thank you each time you visit by making an exceptional tasting cup. And, cool bit of info, this Chemex coffee maker is featured in the MOMA in NYC!
Chemex coffee maker, $47.99 CAD (on sale), Well

Oh my goodness, Daniela! You’ve shared another excellent gift guide today! Thank you! I hope you get spoiled this holiday season!
Last week, I introduced you to my cousin Daniela and two of her holiday gift guides: babies and toddlers. and tweens and teens. She’s back this week with two more guides for us. And they’re just as good as what she brought as last week! Today, she is focused on the adults in our lives. Have a look!
***
Hey everyone. I’m here with an adult gift guide, and I hope you find lots of items for your loved ones. Or, you may ask Santa for something for yourself, too! I have!
What’s great about this list is that some these items can also make great gifts for that teen/university/college student in your life as well.
Reviews on the Tre wireless ear buds by Sudio say the sound is crisp, and they last for a long time with a single charge. They’re stylish and Swedish, so I think, all-in-all, they make a great gift for the tech lover/music lover/podcast follower in your group.
Tre ear buds, $93.75 (on sale), Sudio
Next up — my favorite insulated water bottle on the market. I bought my first one over a year ago and use it daily for both hot and cold beverages. I can attest to the length of time it keeps things hot and cold. It has never let me down. The hot actually lasts longer than 8 hours, and I can keep my warm lemon water all day at my desk. The other thing I love is that, true to its advertising, once washed, it does not hold the flavor of whatever drink was in it before. I can easily put water in it the day after having used it for coffee or tea. This bottle is from Canadian company Green’s Your Colour and comes in an array of colours. What’s special right now is the limited edition white versions which make great gifts for any adult on your list.
rock steady limited edition bottle, $45, Green’s Your Colour
champagne bliss limited edition bottle, $45, Green’s Your Colour
Anyone who has lived with me before-or worked with me for that matter-may run to buy me this amazing gadget. The Tile Pro is available at Best Buy, and it’s a great gift for those of us who lose/misplace our keys every day or every hour. The free Tile Pro app will locate that item you always seem to lose by emitting a loud sound. Santa, are you listening? I need one!
Tile, $45 CAD, Best Buy
Isn’t winter all about cozy chunky sweaters? This merino wool sweater from Aritzia is not only stylish for a night out with friends but equally cozy for a night in.
merino wool sweater, $166.50 CAD (on sale), Aritzia
2017 seemed to be the year of the beard. If you have someone who is sporting this trend, this kit makes a great gift. Rumor has it that taking care of a beard is a lot of work. This all-natural Canadian-made beard kit is a perfect gift for that beard lover on your list.
The Northern Beard Company – The Revival Kit, $25.48 (on sale), Well
Journaling, becoming more mindful, and seeing andshowing gratitude in every day is proven to make us healthier not only in mind but in body, too. This is a great gift for that special someone in your life. It will help them create a daily habit of journaling and its rewards will be endless.
The Five Minute Journal, $26.95 CAD, Chapters Indigo
My last item is this trendy backpack by Matt & Nat for Indigo. Backpacks are now coming in various versions and styles. I love this one not only because it is sleek, modern, and a great size to fit all kinds of items, but it is also made from sustainable products. Both Chapters Indigo and Matt & Nat are Canadian companies which is an extra plus. Although this backpack seems to be featured for going to work or school, as a mom of a toddler, having two hands free has become quite important while also having (lots) of things accessible. I have this on my wish list, too. Hopefully Santa is reading this blog today.
Matt and Nat X Indigo backpack, $180, Chapters Indigo

Hey everyone. As an avid shopper and someone who prides herself in finding just the right item for the many children on my shopping list, I am here today sharing with White Cabana readers some of the best items in my opinion for the baby and toddlers on your list this Christmas and yes…they are white or almost all white!
A hot item given the focus we are seeing today on mindfulness, self-care and starting this at a young age is the tee pee. This awesome gift not only looks great in any room but gives the child a place to have some quiet time, read a book or just enjoy some imaginative play.
teepee, Pottery Barn Kids
Make the base of the teepee extra cozy by adding this:
rug, Ikea
This special doll is perfect for children 18 months and up. In fact, my 2 1/2 year old daughter still prefers this to all her other dolls. It is the perfect fit for small arms and mimics a real baby which is wonderful for play and imagination.
doll, Mastermind Toys
Not only made from superior organic cotton but also Canadian made, these pjs are sure to become your toddler’s favorite. Do you have a future doctor or ballerina in the family? Then surprise them with a pair of these this Christmas.

Want an extra special outfit for that special baby girl in your life? Let her sparkle in one of many options from Canadian company Little Lush Boutique. Although most of the store’s items cater to the little girls in your life, it carries awesome diaper/tie duos great for your next photo shoot that can be worn by both genders.
dress, Little Lush Boutique
Now for my favorite children’s Canadian clothing company. Their staples may be priced a bit higher than the norm however the wash and wear ability of this high quality clothing is far superior than many brands on the market. The organic cotton feels like butter, and you will find that whoever you buy these clothes for will want to wear them the second they are out of the wash. Again and again! Here is a selection of some of my go-to staples from Mini Mioche!

Thanks, Daniela, for sharing all of these goodies with us, today! You’re definitely a thoughtful shopper and gift-giver, so we’re lucky to have your input for the little ones in our lives!
I’m really trying to hold on to summer, but with lower-than-10-degree weather, back to school week, and colour changing leaves (it’s happening!), it’s really hard. I’m sad to see summer go because it’s my favourite season. Not only that, but I know that once the cool weather arrives, it’s here to stay. For a while. A long while. And even though I try every year to like something about winter, I’m definitely opposed to it. But I digress.
The real point of this post is to feature some lovely squirrels. It seems as though I have some strong memories of this little, wild animal.
When my French exchange student came to live with me and my family when I was sixteen, one of the first things she commented on were the squirrels. She couldn’t believe how many were jumping and climbing around in my parents’ backyard. At the time, I didn’t even know the French word for squirrel (un écureuil). It was fun to watch her excitement about an animal I barely paid attention to.
Of my mom’s Swarovski collection, the squirrel has always been one my favourite figurines (see below). Its curvy tail got me!
And the other day, on my walk home from work, I saw the tiniest baby squirrel. I had never seen one so small before. I was too slow with my camera, so I wasn’t able to snap a photo, but, trust me, it was teeny! And it was moving pretty quickly!

Are squirrels abundant where you live? Do they annoy you? Are you fond of them?
Have a great weekend, everyone!
It seems that every year when I’m in Florida, swans come to mind. Last year, I had quite the round-up of swan merchandise, and today I’m bringing you two swans that I’ve come across on my recent shopping trips around Florida.
We’ve had so much rain these last few days, and my umbrella is working overtime. So, today’s post is inspired by the weather.

With Mother’s Day around the corner – on Sunday, May 14th – it might be time to start thinking about how you’re going to spoil loved ones in your life. Mother’s Day for me usually means a trip to Toronto to spend time with my mom doing everyday sorts of things – a garage sale perhaps, a trip to the mall, or just lounging around at home reading magazines. Mom and I enjoy many of the same easy-going activities. Heck, I’m sure we’ve even spent the day doing DIYs together! Mother’s Day is also a day to celebrate other moms in my life – my sister (mom of 4 cuties!) and friends, and to reflect on relationships I’ve had with other strong women who are no longer with us like my aunt and grandmothers.
In terms of gifts, I think moms appreciate any token. A card, a phone call, an email, a text, or a material object lets your loved ones know that you’re thinking about them. I like to spoil my mom with flowers because I know she appreciates them so much!
If you’re looking for some Mother’s Day gift ideas (and if you’d like to spoil yourself at the same time), you might want to have a look at Urban Barn. This Canadian retailer offers up-to-date items for your home – from big furniture pieces to smaller accessories. I’ve been to the Cambridge location numerous times, and there’s always something in white that catches my eye.
Today, I’m sharing five items from Urban Barn’s current collection that would make great gifts for loved ones.
Here’s an affordable container for a new plant or bouquet of flowers.
murl planter large, $19
Another place for flowers…or sangria…or water…is this pretty little pitcher.
Little bowls like this one are perfect for candies, jewelery, or keys.
If your mom needs a bedroom makeover, this dresser looks like it would be a great piece to add.
parker dresser, $1499
This bench would be beautiful in a garden. There’s also a full patio set, too.
piazza folding bench, $399
Many thanks to Urban Barn for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
I know I’m not the only one around here who loves a good bow. Am I right? Look at these fancy mules from Winners (selection varies by store, of course) and the Vera Wang dinner plate. A perfect pair!

Wedgewood Vera Wang Glisse dinner plate, $27.99 USD, Bed Bath & Beyond
If you’re looking for ways to spread a little love around your home and wardrobe this month, I’ve done a little sleuthing to round-up some really special and pretty items.
Bisou vase, arrow tray, XOXO pillow, kiss kiss dish, arrow love tray, femme vase, Vivetta hearts shirt, Chiara Ferragni hearts t-shirt, Saint Laurent sunglasses, Love Moschino wallet, heart print robe, pajama blouse, journal, coin pouch, mugs
It’s February 1st, which means love day is right around the corner. Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Do you buy yourself an extra little treat? How do you spread love this month – and every month – in your home and in your community?
With all the chatter about banning and borders, wouldn’t it be nice if we could all just get along and be nice to one another? How is something so darn simple so difficult to achieve?

See the first holiday gift guide – for the cook.
I was debating creating Christmas gift guides because I know there are so many wonderful guides already floating around the internet, but then I thought it might be fun to see what I could come up with all-in-white. I’ll be publishing a few guides over the next couple of weeks so as to not overload everyone, but to also get us into the generous holiday gift-giving spirit.
I’m kicking things off with a “for the cook” guide. While I adore my kitchen, I’m not much of a cook. My go-to handmade pastas and pizzas are top-notch, but beyond those staples, I’m just an average cook. I do like to bake though, so some of these items are good for both the chef and the baker in your life!
Le Creuset dutch oven, Le Creuset large spatula, Martha Stewart kitchen towels, Kate Spade polka dot apron, KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, KitchenAid pasta attachments, Peugeot salt and pepper set, GlucksteinHome linen napkins, Sophie Conran for Portmerion pie dish, OXO produce keeper, Stelton ice bucket, marble bowl, Godinger marble cheese board, Cuisinart knife set, Joseph cutting board
