I took some photos of my mom’s Santa collection a little while ago. Even though the beard is white and the outfit is red, each jolly little figure seems to have a unique personality.
Merry Christmas!

I love looking at my white shirts lined up so nicely in a row.
p.s. Yes – I do spend a lot of time ironing. I’m thinking of investing in a Rowenta. I tried out the steam iron at Toronto Fashion Week and it seemed to iron well. Does anyone have one?

For today’s Friday Five, I’m taking you inside my apartment.
1. I may one of the last people to own a land line. I know. But look how cool it is!
2. My milk glass collection never ends. The little one isn’t true milk glass but it’s cute.
3. These flowers, carved from wood, are from Easter Island. (Thanks Corie & Jeff.)
4. My ink blots. What do you see? (Apparently it’s a trend – look at what Christian from Maison 21 posted on Tumblr.)
5. Pussy willow branches are so pretty. I feel like it brings good luck too. These branches are from Easter but they’re still growing!
Thanks for coming on this very mini house tour and thanks, as always, for dropping by White Cabana!
Have a wonderful weekend!
p.s. For the record, everything in the above photos is white – except for the ink blots (black) and pussy willow (brown) – but I liked how the photos turned out in black & white.
Have you come across The Value of a Dollar project yet? It’s just fascinating. Have a look at what $1 buys:

Many of you already know that I have a slight obsession with anything Parisien…at the top of the list is the Eiffel Tower. Even though I’ve seen it plenty of times, it renders me speechless on each and every visit. It’s an incredibly impressive structure.
Over the years I have slowly collected a group of mini Eiffel Tower structures. I usually have them lined in a row on my bookshelf, ordered by height.
Sometimes my guests rearrange them in new ways – one tower out of line, towers in a zig-zag formation, etc.
Of late I’ve grouped some of them in a lidded glass container.
However they’re grouped, I find clustering this collection in one place makes for a pleasing display.
Many thanks to Seema Persaud at Canadian House & Home for featuring this idea in her Readers’ Top Spring Decorating Ideas article yesterday.
