A new ice cream shop opened up in Kitchener this summer (Four All Ice Cream), and I’m loving it. Each time I go, I try new flavours, and I have yet to be disappointed! Local ingredients are used and flavours change according to what’s been growing around the community. My favourite flavour has been the strawberry-rhubarb sorbet.
In addition to the delicious ice cream, though, I love the design of this small-sized ice cream shop. On one end of the little shop, you’ll find the ice cream. And on the other, you’ll find this peg board display wall.

And it was this peg board – designed and made by Boko – that has inspired this peg board design post. As you’ll see by the photos here, there’s a whole lot of things that can be mounted onto a peg board!

The only goal that I have for today’s post is to share a collection of images that have recently caught my eye. There’s no method. Just easy, breezy, inspirational images of design in white. Happy Wednesday!

I haven’t taken us to France in quite some time in this series, so we’re going today. We’re off to Chateau de Berne, a Relais & Chateaux hotel, in the south of France.
classic room – Chateau de Berne
Of course, if you can’t make it to Provence, but you’d like to recreate some of the French flair in your own bedroom, here are some ideas to get you thinking.
bedside table, dresser, table lamp, silver table lamp, tufted bench, side table, faux fur pillow, silver pillows, cashmere throw, white curtains, duvet cover
We’re heading into a long weekend here in the North, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s back-to-school season which means that my work life is extra busy at the moment. The students are back in town, and orientation week at uni starts in just a few days. My MBA courses will pick up again this week, and I’m in the final stages of prepping a new course I’ll be teaching. On top of this, of course, I have my usual work responsibilities. September is always an exciting – but uber-busy – month on my end. It has been for just about all my life!
And sometimes, in between all of the school tasks of September, my mind wanders into gorgeous design spaces. Today’s five rooms all feature two things: round mirrors and white square (or rectangle) tiles. The contrasting shapes work really well in these bathrooms, and make for a clean and modern aesthetic.
